Owen's Birthday

As soon as the Reptile lady came out, So did Lincoln's Hand-Goggles

Zooming in for a closer view i suppose.

Elle saw her first snake.

Elle wanted to touch so bad.

Elle's wish is granted and you can see she has no fear of going right for the Snakes head.

Elle's applause from the excitement of touching the snake.

Look closly, Owen is smiling as he is excited to hold this Red Corn Snake.

Owen Looks down and sees the Corn Snake Staring right at him.

The snake must be magical cause Owen turned straight to stone and didn't move till the snake was taken away.

Something Big must be coming, Look at these faces.

Check out Lincoln's view, He is stunned at the size of this thing.

But wait, Look at Elle, is that a smile? What is she smiling at?

Looks like she may need help holding this giant Boa. But who of these kids will help?

Remember Elle from above, I think it was a smile. She jumped right in and wasn't afraid to get up close and personal, she wanted right up by the head of the snake.

And we all thought Charise was scared of snakes. Check this out.

Well not to long after that Charise realized it is a real snake and started to move.

Soon after, Ty called Charise a wimp and said, "Hey babe, Can I have it?"

Check out Tom, hes a natural. Mabey he should go out and make his on "Surviving with Snakes" Film. Soon after this Tom went inside the house to show Tyler's brother-in-law Morgan. Morgan took off running.

Today's Excitement

As you can see there is a odd shaped paper ball object hanging in the bush. It may not look very large but it is larger than a cantaloupe. Well I went to investigate and found it to be paper wasps. I just read about them online and they are "Very Aggressive" so i figured i needed to rid the nest from our yard. I took a green pale and placed it underneath the nest then tried to knock the nest out of the bush into the bucket but was very surprised how strong paper is. The bottom half of the nest fell into the bucket where the wasps decided they liked it better and have not left it. You will see in the pictures that they are not very friendly and WILL defend their home.

Fishing time

This past weekend we had a big crawfish fry. Curtis was the cook and they were great. I jumped right in to catch them even though they kept pinching my toes. Conner soon followed. Then Curtis finally got in. Eric was a different story. I think he has a phobia of crawdads. He didnt want to get in the water or even touch one of the crawdads. Eric would through out his line with chicken on the end and his wife Chris would grab them and throw them in the bucket. It was pretty amusing. All in all, it was alot of fun.
